About Me

I am currently doing my Masters by research in Engineering and Computer Science at UNSW after resigning from my job as a manager and technical consultant at Cornet Technologies in 2007.

My scope of work at Cornet Technologies used to deal with Microsoft technologies with relation to enterprise application development. The areas I work on included web services, workflow, information retrieval and management. It also includes R&D work to develop frameworks and methodologies used at Cornet Technologies for developing service oriented applications used by our clients.

My background consists of work experience with a strong focus on enterprise services and integration via web services. I have accumulated strong specific domain knowledge for several industrial verticals over a variety of projects, of which includes shipping, transport, CRM and Content/Information management. My other areas of technical expertise include systems built on J2EE (JEE) architecture. Much of this experience consists of using open source and IBM tools/products for industrial projects during my stay at the WIZ (Web Services Innovation Zone) and PATH (Web Services Pilot and Trial Hotspots) Assessment Centre in Nanyang Polytechnic where I worked as a Development Technologist.

My other related interest includes Semantic Web Technologies on which I did a related topic (Digital Heritage for south pacific cultural museums) in a research course during my undergraduate coursework in 2005 at The Australian National University. I was also involved in a semantic web related year-long project (Collaborative Annotation System) for The Distillery (Australia) whereby we developed an annotation service extension for their InterQuest Analytics product.
